EXPERIENCE GEORGIA
The expedition
Harvest • Wine • Food • Folk Culture • Mountains • Local Life
Experience Georgia is a 10-day immersive journey created for travelers who want to go beyond sightseeing and become part of Georgia’s traditions, food, wine and everyday culture. Travel from the historic streets of Tbilisi to the dramatic landscapes of the Greater Caucasus before continuing into Kakheti during Rtveli — Georgia’s traditional grape harvest season. The heart of the journey is participation. Pick grapes alongside a local winemaking family, discover the ancient qvevri winemaking tradition, prepare Georgian dishes, bake traditional bread, make churchkhela and experience village life in the Alazani Valley. Meet local families and winemakers, discover Georgian polyphonic singing and folk traditions, and experience an authentic supra — the Georgian feast where food, wine, hospitality, music and traditional toasts come together. October gives the journey a special character. Vineyards are alive with the harvest, the valleys turn to autumn colors, and the first snow may already appear on the high peaks of the Caucasus.
