Every departure is insured by ARDI.
We partnered with ARDI — one of Georgia's leading insurers — so every traveller on a Travel Junkies expedition is protected against the things that go wrong on the trail: injuries, evacuations, missed connections, lost bags.
Cover is arranged for you before departure. You don't pay extra — it's baked into the trip.
Six things you don't have to worry about.
Emergency medical care
Doctor visits, hospitalisation and prescribed medication treated as an emergency during your expedition — anywhere in the world.
Search & rescue and evacuation
Alpine and remote-area evacuation to the nearest capable medical facility, coordinated with our on-the-ground guides.
Baggage & personal effects
Coverage for loss, theft or damage to your gear and personal belongings while travelling with the group.
Trip cancellation & interruption
Non-refundable costs reimbursed if you have to cancel or cut a trip short for covered reasons — illness, injury, family emergency.
Delays & missed connections
Meals and lodging while you wait, and re-routing help so you can rejoin the group.
24/7 assistance line
One number to call in an emergency. English- and Georgian-speaking dispatch, worldwide.
Exact limits, exclusions and policy documents are shared with you at booking. Extreme-altitude and above-average-risk activities are covered under the expedition policy — no separate rider needed for standard Travel Junkies routes.
ARDI
ARDI is one of Georgia's largest insurance companies, with a full international claims network. Their 24/7 assistance line coordinates with local hospitals and evacuation services worldwide — and with our guides on the ground.
Common questions
Do I need to buy my own travel insurance?
No — the expedition policy is arranged by us and included in the trip price. If you already have personal insurance you'd like to keep, you can add it on top; the two don't conflict.
Is high-altitude trekking covered?
Yes. Every route on our schedule — including altitude and remote-area segments — is covered under the standard expedition policy without a separate rider.
What about pre-existing medical conditions?
Disclose anything material at booking. Most conditions are covered with no additional premium; a small number need a short questionnaire. Our team walks you through it before your deposit.
Who do I call in an emergency?
You'll receive a laminated emergency card with the ARDI 24/7 assistance line plus your guide's local number before departure. In a serious incident, both are notified simultaneously.
